Domestic (Treated) Water Rate Schedule
Updating the rates is necessary for the future sustainability of the District. Rates have been unchanged since 2011 and must be updated. The primary reasons for the update are to provide funding to replace capital infrastructure, account for years of inflation since 2011, and to comply with recent court decisions regarding tiered rates. The new rates reflect the increased cost of updating, operating, and maintaining the GDPUD water system.
In order to update rates, the GDPUD must comply with State law commonly referred to as Proposition 218. The Board authorized the required 45-day public notice on October 24, 2017, and conducted the required public hearing on December 12, 2017. All information related to the rate study is available on the District website.
